Your most precious travel accessory this summer is going to be a small white piece of paper. Some destinations, cruise lines and major sports venues are already requiring travelers to provide proof that they have been fully vaccinated against Covid-19. The proof? A 4-by-3 inch paper “vaccination record card” issued by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

PHOTOGRAPH YOUR RECORD CARD

The first thing experts recommend once you’ve been vaccinated is taking a digital photograph of both sides of your personal record card. Keep the original with other important documents or medical records.

WHAT HAPPENS IF YOU LOSE IT?

If you do misplace your card call your state’s health department and ask for a replacement

DON’T SHARE YOUR VACCINE CARD ON SOCIAL MEDIA!

Security experts and the Federal Trade Commission alike are warning people not to post pictures of their vaccine cards online which could compromise your personal information.

YOU COULD BE INVITING IDENTITY THEFT.
